Short Video 1: Introduction to Quieting the Mind

Please enjoy this video. Quieting the mind is a less "loaded" term than meditation. And using this can often make it easier for us to start. We can break the task down into small pieces. We are often meditating all the time when we are in a “zone” (running, doing dishes, making tea, etc)

Quieting the mind is about focusing on a present moment or on a thing. I recommend focusing on breath – it brings oxygen to the body, calms us, and helps us get in touch with the emotions and physical sensations we’re experiencing in our bodies. And we all have breath we carry everywhere with us - an ideal focal point!
